Heidi Montag Continues With her Musical Delusions

Just last night, perezhilton.com debuted Heidi Montag’s latest single, “Superficial”, beginning the long and arduous process of promoting her upcoming album, the single’s namesake. Today, Montag and her collborators (namely her snake-y husband, Spencer Pratt) released the album’s cover photography on People Magazine’s website. It features Montag in a one-piece vintage-y polka dot bathing suit, seductively staring down the camera as she poses against a wall of colourful mix tapes. Montag claims that it’s a “shout out to the ‘80s.”
I’m not sure if Heidi is aware of this herself (with all that bleach, I’m sure it gets a little muddled in that pretty head of hers), but she’s only 23, meaning that she was born in the tail end of the 1980s. There is no way that she could remember a time when “you just had to run to the record store and get your favourite album.” Also, let’s remember that Montag is from Crested Butte, Colorado, where I’m sure running to the record store was nearly impossible without a drive down the highway.
Although her attempt to seem legit and immersed in the world of music and its history is laudable, it’s a big fail. She and her husband have never shied from the fact that they are all about fame, so her singing career is already tainted by the fact that her ultimate goal is to achieve greater fame rather than making a mark in the annals of music history.
Buckle up everyone, because Speidi is only going to get more annoying and in-your-face as the album release date approaches.
