Probably best known for being famous for no reason, the Kardashian girls are always a riot to watch on their reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians” on the trashy entertainment network, E!.  Although the family has five daughters in total, Kourtney, Khloé, and Kim are the eldest, and arguably, the most overexposed, but Khloé is quickly forging her own fame.

Kourtney is famous for being super short, Khloé for being obnoxious (with some help from Perez Hilton, who has in the past often referred to her as a man), and Kim for her JLo-esque booty and sex tape with fiancé Reggie Bush.  There has always been an underlying jealousy amongst the girls for Kim’s heightened fame, especially from Khloé, but Kim continued to get the endorsements and invitations to public affairs.  It didn’t hurt that she was dating an NFL running back and Heisman honouree.

But in comes Khloé with her whirlwind romance with Lamar Odom, forward for the LA Lakers.  Preceded by a publicity storm of rumours and subsequent denials, the pair married on September 27, 2009.  Of course, Khloé wasn’t going to allow the pent-up frustration of the public go to waste: the wedding was filmed as an E! special for her family’s reality show.

The wedding special hit record ratings, and although I’m not trying to deny the couple’s true feelings for each other, the whole thing seems a little suspect.  Khloé constantly talks about her wedding’s ratings on her blog and her Twitter as if the wedding were just a media project, and the newlyweds’ matching couple tattoos (they got each others’ initials on their hands) were designed so that just in case the relationship goes south, Khloé could adjust hers to spell out the word “LOVE”.  But, that’s Hollywood for you!

So now, Khloé has the professional athlete lover, media scandal (the DUI incident of 2007), and celebrity feud with Shanna Moakler (ex-wife of drummer Travis Barker, and former beauty queen).  I’d say she’s already on top!
