Lindsay Always Seems to Catch a Break

After her disastrous and highly criticized show for fashion house’s Emanuel Ungaro Parisian spring/summer collection, Lindsay Lohan became more of a fashion faux-pas rather than a fashion superstar. As “artistic advisor” of the line, Lohan steered the line from classy and refined (when it was under Esteban Cortazar’s direction, who got fired after he refused to work with LiLo) to raunchy and rather silly (Lohan worked with Spanish designer, Estrella Arch). It was a pretty solid bet that she was going to be fired soon after.
But no, the wiz-kid does it again, and we’re all confused. Us Magazine reports that Lohan will be maintaining her position at the fashion house, as CEO Mounir Moufarrige considers her involvement a success.

Perhaps Mr. Moufarrige is more a company figurehead rather than a fashion man, because it seems as though he is buying into the hype of Lohan. Any “buzz” that he claims Ungaro gained due to her collaboration is largely buzz about how hilarious it is that Lohan is so incredibly proud of her heart shaped pasties, or how the fashion house is making a terrible mistake. Any “sales” that the company has been experiencing, I imagine, is the result of some well-to-do socialites and fashionistas who could not wait to have a piece of ironic fashion history, simply because it’s a good laugh.
I’m not sure if Moufarrige is aware, but an artistic advisor needs to advise. And with all the emotional baggage that Lohan comes with, I’m afraid that any advice she gives should be thrown down the drain.
In other Lindsay drama, perezhilton.com and Life & Style magazine are reporting that Lindsay is going to star in a steamy photo spread shot by the edgy and provocative Terry Richardson, featuring Lohan and one male and one (topless) female model involved in a three-way. All this to make Samantha Ronson jealous? A bit much, no? Then again, I suppose “Lindsay Lohan” and “conservative” aren’t often correlating terms.
